Hello everyone. I'm writing here in hopes to get some help with my internet. It's been cutting out at night for over a month now. Sometimes it will stay connected through the night but most nights it will not. Last week i had a technician come out to look at things but obviously he could not find any issues as this was around 6 PM. Our downstream signal level was high (10-11 db) which i already knew about but wasn't concerned with. He corrected this at the pole and it is now consistently 4 db. Before the tech came out i narrowed my problem down to a bad SNR. During the day it hovers around 36-37 db but at night will drop down to 27-28 db kicking the modem offline. The tech that was here said that the modem will not drop offline until 23 db which i thought seemed low. I can reset the modem when it drops offline but it only stays connected for maybe a minute or two and then it's back offline again.
He told me he was going to schedule a line tech or someone like that to come out and check the lines but it's been over a week and im still experiencing issues at night. The lines and the connectors in the house are all new and properly installed so there's no issue in my home. He did mention he pulled my modem log and could see the outages each night so he is aware something is wrong.
I guess what i'm wondering is does it usually take longer for a line technician to address this issue or should i contact someone again to get this fixed?
