[RANT] Mediacom called me to switch from AT&T-and now cant give me service

I had AT&T within a few days of moving in. During the first three weeks I had service with them I received multiple marketing calls from Mediacom asking me to switch from AT&T and offering me deal after deal to do so-until I finally agreed. I was very specific that my self install kit needed to be sent via UPS as I cant get USPS packages here, and I was given a FALSE UPS tracking number. They used UPS Surepost which transfers the package at the destination city to USPS. They of course didn't deliver my package, its at the post office as we speak. Then an appointment was made for Friday, April 18 between 1-5pm to bring me a modem and install it. This was important because that was my last day in my 30 day guarantee from AT&T that I could cancel and not be locked into a one year contract. This appointment was missed, there was NO call to let me know no one would not show. I was then told there were no lines run to my apartment complex and there would not be any run for 2-3 weeks. I switched from AT&T, and cancelled my services, only to have my time wasted for hours waiting on someone who never showed up, then told no lines were run, told they would call the construction supervisor (who I found out Sunday NIGHT only worked Mon-Fri) and get back to me as soon as they heard-or I could keep checking back. I was repeatedly lied to in an effort to get me to sign on with your company, getting rid of a company that actually DID provide me with service, just to be told I need to wait for almost a month? Ill be sure to let the apartment owner know how badly you have handled this, as well as every single neighbor in this complex.
