Is there something going on that is causing speeds to be horrendous on downloads and any heavier bandwidth functions?
I swear I been on 2mbit connection for past few weeks, tested at work, same thing, tested at gf's house, same thing and now my co worker just asked me whats been up lately.
I pay for 150mbit, not 2mbit.... What gives.
Edit: Seems limited to single link connections. I have been testing a bit tonight, and have seen little bit better speeds when using segmented downloads. using lftp i had to use 50 threads on a single gb file to get over 100mbit (10mb/s). Once it got down to the last few threads, speeds went all to hell. (tested on multiple servers I have, NJ, ATL, France, and NL). Had other test against a couple of the servers, and using single connection methods speeds are fine. Also I used some server to server tests just to make sure.... (all my servers and tests were done using linux, except for the friends that helped me out where they used couple windows comps)
