After a 5 year break, I dumped AT&T and switched back to Mediacom back in the spring for Internet service. I opted for Prime as 15mb would easily meet my needs. The upside is, when the service is working, it is excellent. The speeds are nice and only struggle during extreme peak hours. However, when my service is down, I am out for days on end. The unusual part is, it seems to be isolated to my house. At this point, I am unsure if it is tied to my hookup or poor work on the part of the technicians. The unfortunate thing is that service calls take so long that the problem almost always resolves itself before someone shows up. Anyone else in North Alabama having the same issues?
