My parents have centurylink and while they can get 10mb/768kb service their promo ran up and now they're getting charged $70+ a month for 6 meg service.
What I'm wondering is... mediacom has prime plus on their website for $39.95 a month for the first year... what does it go to after that?
Also, is there a self install option? They've had internet there before from mediacom. It'd be nice to avoid the install fee if possible.
Thirdly, I've got an sb6120 I can let them use... should be more than adequate for the service. Does mediacom still charge a modem rental fee whether you own your own modem or not?
I know on a promotional website there was an option for prime service for $34.95 a month for the first year than $49.95 a month for the following years. Prime would be all they'd need realistically.
Just wondering what their options are and what prices go to so I can get them switched over from CenturyDink...
