This problem never seems to go away.
I just replaced my Arris SB6141 which was starting to lock up on a regular basis. In its place is a Zoom 5345.
I have a very strong signal on all channels now. Over 40db down, and 45db up. All 8x2 channels are connected. Bit error rate is non-existent.
I have tested both through my router and directly connected to the modem. Every evening speeds are incredibly slow. Max 5-6Mbps is common. Often worse. Testing was done using the Mediacom speediest page. These are the same speeds I was seeing on the Arris.
This must be a Mediacom bandwidth issue. This problem has been happening off and on for months. When will this ever end?
