My phone has gone out again! This is the second time this year, in February it was out for 10 F-ing days.
I have NO dial tone, just a slight buzzing/hum noise. If I call my number from a cell phone there is a rapid busy signal (just like last time).
Last time they replaced the 2 modems I had (one for internet and one for phone) with a single unit. Which did not resolve the problem. The Tech tried 4 more modems then had to call his supervisor.
The tech told me that the #1 phone port on some of the modems do not work correctly, so they configured the new modem to use phone port#2. It has worked flawlessly, UNTIL tonight.
Tonight I called customer support and was told the soonest that a tech could be sent out was April 18th. That is another 10 F-ing days to be without a phone AGAIN?!?!
When a construction company cut through the cable line 2 weeks ago, Mediacom sent a crew out, about an hour after I called to report the outage and had the line fixed in 30 minutes.
I am at the point where I'm going to CANCEL ALL OF MY Services, even though in the past I was threatened by customer service that if I canceled I would be breaking the contract and that I would be responsible for full payment.
