Hi everyone!
Pardon for lack of technical expertise. For the last 24 hours, I have been consistently losing my upload connection. From what I can tell, downloads are working fine, and delivering speeds above advertised. I am able to stream video on my devices with no trouble. It seems my issue is that the upload connection is failing every 5-10 seconds. This is causing disconnections to many applications that require a constant connection, such as Skype, Steam and Battle.net - rendering them unusable.
I ran the DSLReports speed test and received Error:5 - too many upload failures. I have duplicated this result when connected by ethernet cable directly to my modem, as well as connected via WiFi, on three separate devices. Additionally, when logging in to my modem via homewifi.mediacomcable.com, I'm getting frequent "connection lost" notifications.
Modem is Hitron CGNVM-2559. It's connected directly to the coaxial output on the wall with the coax provided by the install tech.
Any suggestions as to what my next steps could be to remedy on my end? Just seeing if there is something I can try before putting in a service request. Let me know if I need to run any other tests to provide additional details.
Thanks!
