Have the 500mb service, one week ago it quit totally. Tech came out 5 days later and said it was something outside and he couldn't fix it, but maintenance could. Couple days later I call in and find out maintenance passed it off to some other group in mediacom. Something about a residence in the neighborhood causing signal noise and it's taking out my internet completely. No ETA on if/when it can be fixed. I called back for an escalated service and the earliest they can come is in 5 days.
1. Anyone ever heard of this kind of a problem and is it likely? I am having doubts
2. Why can't they just turn off the offenders service to fix mine?
3. Internet down for 2 weeks in a populated urban area is unacceptable.
