I upgraded service mainly to avoid bandwidth overages; with the amount of overages I was paying, I upgraded to 500mbps.
I have bought SB8200 - and got it connected to mediacom over the phone ( I am online using it now ).
The send and receive lights are solid green, representing DOCSIS 3.
I have a tech appoint this coming Tuesday
My question is , should I keep the appoint for any reason?
I only use mediacom for internet, so I doubt that the tech would run new cable, or troubleshoot anything.
But I could be wrong. What is the tech appointment, that is required for the upgrade for?
BTW: I was able to provide my own modem - mediacom is sending their offical modem, in case the one I buy does not work.
no modem rental fees for me
