I've been on Mediacom service in one way or another for the last 13 years in the Des Moines metro as well as suburbs like Ankeny and Polk City. I'm currently in Polk City running a Motorola MB7220 Modem direct to PC, but I have experienced frequent daily interruptions in the other parts of town as well. I recently installed this modem to replace a Motorola SB5101. The old modem was dropping connection or resetting at least 3-4 times a day and Mediacom is dropping support for the DOCSIS 2.0 modems so I replaced it in hopes of better reliability and more throughput. Well, my up and down speeds significantly improved, however, the service still comes to a crawl or stop frequently and this is frustrating when trying to watch films or do online school work. Last night I had at least four interruptions lasting 10min+ in the span of two hours.
