I have had 3 techs (scheduled a 4th), and an installer come to my new house. I am an internet only subscriber and if these issues continue I will be switching to centurylink.
Since the start of summer (read Early June). My internet has had intermittent issues. I get spouts of 80 to 100% packet loss lasting from 1 to 10 minutes. This sometimes forces my SB6280 to reboot automatically.
They have:
1. Unplugged the internet only plug at the pole.
2. Replaced all coax from my tap outside my house.
3. I have replaced my modem and router.
4. Put in/removed various splitters and limitters.
5. Replaced my CAT5e cables with a brand new CAT6 cable from my router (I know this does not solve my wifi problem, its to appease the techs on the phone).
All of this has done very little. After the last tech was out, I put in a high quality 2 way splitter as my downstream was at 10 dBmV to bring it done into spec and not effect my upstream.
My upstream and downstream dBmV will spike to crazy levels (downstream near 10dBmV and upstream all 3 bonded channels will spike to 48 to 51 dBmV)
See attachments and this for line quality test (per instructions to posting).
