Bait and Switch

On Sunday Mediacom offered me a better plan and a dollar cheaper. My speeds would go from 60 to 200. TV stations would remain the same. And a TIVO setup would be installed. Monday I "lost" any channels that were not local. Like TBS and AMC. My internet speeds are still below 60. After poking and prodding Mediacom I find out that the TIVO was going to cost me $40 extra a month. My channel lineup was a basic package now. And they would look into my speed problem. High power on the send side? I went to the Mediacom forum and made two posts about this mess. A tech was sent and found the power problem. A Mediacom installed amplifier was installed wrong. Speeds did improve, but only up to 75. Not even close to the 200 promised. After I found out the details of my new plan. I asked to be put back to what I had. And I get nothing from them. Not a word. And I bumped the thread several times. So I know they have seen it. I've been with Mediacom for a long time. Well past 20 years. And I've had some problems with them. Always just let it slide. But this time I'm more than a little pissed off. I got a hold of the consumer fraud in Illinois. And they are sending me paper work to fill out. Is there any thing else I can do? Mark
