How many drop outs and power cycles with coax removed from the calbe modem per day is considered "normal" vs. worth calling in for support?
Unlike the older Mediacom-supplied RCA cable modem, the lights on the Motorola SB6121 I bought myself only go out long after the signal has dropped, so it is less obvious when the connection is gone.
I'll notice because when I click on a link, nothing will happen for a while, then eventually I get a notice that the attempt timed out. Then I'll try to look at http://192.168.100.1 and if that fails to connect, then I may see the modem lights go out, and then see the modem re-booting.
So how many of these in a day is considered "normal"?
