Switched from Comcast to Mediacom when I moved into my new house. Nothing but trouble from day 1. I have tried the click here to troubleshoot your internet. Then sending updates to your modem. See how easy that was. Internet has never been stable and today nothing. I have had 3 calls for support to the house. The first time they said something broke and we should be back up. So service call was canceled. Second time, the tec said we have bad lines on our street. Said to keep complaining until Mediacom decides to replace the lines. He also discovered that the installer should have installed a new line from the street.the new line has been in my yard for over aonth and nobody can tell me when they will come and bury the line. More dropouts to the point I am loosing my mind. Call again. Service tech calls me and says others on my street have the same issue and he is starting an email chain. Not sure what that will do. Now today nothing. Can't surf the net. Lost my VoIP phone, TV over internet and internet. Did a ping test to Google. 75% dropout. Is anybody else expirence this same runaround? Is this because there is no other service provider in my area and they don't care. Should I ask for a discount on my bill? Just so tired of this. Been going on for over 3 months.
