I have been experiencing very bad lag spikes almost every evening somewhere between the hours of 6pm to 10pm. The speed is fine but anything requiring a low ping will get huge lag spikes. This has been happening for months and have not been able to get this resolved.
Here is a copy of a Trace Route log using WinMTR simply pinging google.com:

You'll notice the spikes are up to over 2400ms with an average of almost 300ms, happening at the very first hop from my router to the mediacom offices. During non prime time hours this sits constant well below 100ms.
This is a wired connection but will happen to everything it will behave the same bypassing the router completely.
