Contract is up and Mediacom is jacking my cable TV rate by $30/month. Retention tells me that if I cancel cable there is a $15 fee to just have internet. The CSR offers to give me $10 off a $200 bill for 6 months. When I check my bill, there are two "Electronic Change Charges" for $4!
Mediacom Chad removes one of them, but advises that I have to pay the other one because there is a charge whenever somebody does something that doesn't involve a technician! Uh, what? I get charged because the CSR knocks $10 off my bill? And this CSR never mentioned that it would cost me money to get the smallest of discounts? This has to be the shadiest company I've ever dealt with. Time to dig the Direct TV ad out of the trash...
