Issues + Question

Copying and pasting from reddit to try and get this alleviated faster: So I've had nothing but issues with Mediacom since I've started using their service. Started out with getting .02 down on a 500 mbps plan. Eventually got that fixed (5 techs later). During this time they convinced me my modem was bad, so I just said screw it and lets use one of yours. Everything is fine until the modem shows offline and nothing can connect. Even the tech support on the phone said they couldn't see the modem online. During this time frame, it's like the modem would pick and choose when it wanted to be online, I would wake up in the morning and we would have internet, I would come home from work and it would be offline. Same tech comes out and says the modem is bad. Ok great, installed a new modem (never been in anyone's home - brand new). Went on vacation and come back to the same issue as before. The modem is literally a paper weight right now. Is there anything I can suggest to the tech when he comes out Friday to look at this again? Any help would be much appreciated.
