Is the problem constant, intermittent, or does it occur at a specific time of day? If it is an intermittent problem, a 24hr smokeping is recommended. Constant I've set up the smokeping now 9. Include any firewall and/or anti-virus software you have installed and what version you have. None I found this website through reddit and was instructed to reach out to MediacomChad. Since i have to wait 8 hours after creating my account to DM a user I decided to post my issues here. TL/DR: my mediacom service started acting up in April. I've had techs out to my house 12 weeks in a row, each time i'm told "there is an issue with the node that this entire area is on" I pay for 1gig speeds and I've never gotten anything over 350Mbps down. On a daily basis i have experience total loss of internet to the extent that I lost my Job in august because of it. Now my speeds are (if i'm lucky) ~90Mbps, mediacom tells me it's my fault for not having one of their routers, the techs continue to tell me its the lines/node my area is on. Each time i have a service call for a lineman to come out the ticket is closed without any resolution. I just don't know what i can do from here and i'm looking for any advice to move forward with. I can't keep affording to pay $120/mo for ~90Mbps speeds while i'm trying to train for a new job.
