We pay for the higher tier of Internet service, with download speeds of 30MBs or more (not sure of the exact number).
For the past month or so we've had more and more instances of unstable internet, and download speeds closer to 1-3MBs range.
I have called MediaCom and they said there was outage in my area. Next day....slow internet. Last night I called them again 'We see that there are issues, we'll need to have Tier 2 look at it'. They said they would call us if they needed to set up an appointment....of course, I highly doubt any of the issues are actually occurring with the line into my house (I have never had an issue that wasn't resolved outside of my home), and then two hours later my wife gets an email saying they want to confirm an appointment.....of course they didn't call.
So now, I am looking at having to take time off of work to be home, for an issue that once again I don't feel is local to me. And of course the tech will show up and say as they have in the past (we have to go through these steps), and leave when then can't find anything.
I am so frustrated with this company and their customer service.
