I appear to be having some service issues. I've been getting random disconnects and packet loss accompanied by high pings all day. I tried rebooting my modem and router but the problem is still persisting. My signal levels also appear to be okay... Downstream SNR Ratio: 38.8 to 39.2, Power Level: -0.2 to -0.4, and an Upstream power is 52 (a bit high but still within DOCSIS spec?)
I do not think it is an issue on my end since my power levels have stayed mostly the same over the course of the past several months. I seem to be experiencing more issues ever since the free upgrades everyone got in the higher-tiered plans (not me). It's like the network cannot handle it and is being overloaded.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? I'd imagine so since everyone is trying to get onto Netflix and other stuff which would dramatically increase network load. It is a major holiday weekend, afterall...
If it is indeed an issue on my end, it may be worth noting I am running an ancient Motorolla SB5101U modem so I guess I could benefit upgrading to a DOCSIS 3.0 modem.
