Hey guys,
Long time lurker, recently got Mediacom again at my new place and I've had it about two months.
I'm a youtube content creator and livestreamer, so the quality of my internet connection is of utmost importance to me.
I've noticed that at random times throughout the day and night I will suddenly drop a lot of data (admittedly only on the upstream, and only for about 30 seconds to a minute)
Some people may chastise me for complaining about such a small problem, but in my (side) business a few seconds of packet loss can mean the difference between a night where I have 3000 people watching me on live stream, and having 30 viewers, or it could mean a failed upload to youtube...
At this point, I'm not too sure what to do - I can't seem to access any diagnostic data in my gateway - when I go to 192.168.0.1 and login, I've explored all of the potential hiding places for my signal data and such, and I just don't think it's available to me.
I have the Ultra 105/10, and my speeds are perfectly fine, it's just the random upstream latency spikes and packet loss which accompany them that are bothering me.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to proceed? Is there a hidden diagnostic information regarding the signal levels my modem is receiving and sending that I can access? I'm really hesitant to call Mediacom because of experiences I've had with their tech support in the past.
I appreciate any help you fine folks can provide!
