For the past couple of weeks, I have had to reset my cable modem about once every three days because my DL speed drops from 100meg to 2-5meg. A strange thing associated with this is that my UL goes from its usual 10-11meg to 16-20meg. I am seeing something strange when I log into the modem, and I am thinking it is related. I am going to paste this in but I think the formatting might get mangled. The gist of it is that channel 217 has waaaaaay higher correctable and uncorrectable code words. Signal seems fine. I have not moved my modem in months, and it is a direct connection that runs out of my house, no splitters inside the house. Any thoughts? I'm sure they can send a tech out, but I'd like to hone in on the problem before it comes to that.
