All was good before 2:30pm then I go no internet connection. Rebooted modem, nothing, restarted router, nothing. No error messages in the Modem either. So I called up Mediacom and they said they had trouble with SMTP or some such, and she tried several times to reprovision my modem. I did a factory reset but nothing.
So I have a tech coming out in 5 days, but I cant not have internet for 5 days so im pulling my hair out trying to figure out whats up. I PMd MediacomChad a few hours ago but havent heard back so I hope someone else knows whats up.
I have a SB6141 that I bought last March and Im on the 100 Ultra plan. I have a 5th gen Airport Extreme. I can reach the modem page over wifi from my laptop and ipad but no net connection. The light is green on the Airport but in Airport Utility app I get an orange for the Internet Connection. I can renew IP from the modem so the Airport is talking to the router but nothing goes to the internet.
Heres whats really frustrating the hell out of me. Im now connected straight to the Modem over ethernet from my desktop PC. I connect ethernet direct to modem, reboot modem and let it accept my PC connection. Thats how im typing this now. However for some stupid reason Im getting half download speed and 1/4 upload:

So not only does wifi not work my speeds have gone to crap. And on top of that, I can ONLY use my desktop PC over ethernet direct to modem. I tried my laptop and mac Mini direct and after rebooting the modem, I cant do anything, not even reach the modem config page.
What the hell is going on? Why would wifi not work? Why are my speeds so low? Why cant I connect direct to the modem with other devices except my desktop PC?
Is this a sign of bad modem or router? Guess I'll find out as I need to goto BB and buy a new modem I guess and see if that does anything.
