Just got off the phone with an informative MC tech. I was questioning why my bandwidth and latency kept fluctuating. He informed me that since there are so many colleges in my area that the card for the area is over pushed when everyone is on. Utilization on average is at 70% which is sub par but okay. The problem is the utilization spikes, which happen frequently. These spikes happen frequently and drop my 100mbps connection to 10mbps and my 50-80ms ping to over 400ms. My area needs some maintenance to keep speeds up to par and as advertised. This internet is far from reliable. If you live in the Springfield, MO college area and are having similar problems then please let the word out.
