I knew I wasn't going to get full speed over WiFi, but the modem is about 40-50 feet away through 2, possibly 3 walls. I have Direct TV in my bedroom where I'd like to put the modem so I could use an ethernet cable. Is it possible to have the my DVR and modem share the same coax line, or do I have to have another line put in(not happening) or am I stuck with half the speed I'm paying for? I'm using the Technicolor 8715 modem that Mediacom sent me.
