I wanted to share my experience with my 1 GB installation.
On June 21st I made called customer service to get the 1GB upgrade. When talking to the rep they said they would ship out a modem. I asked if I could pick it up and they local office does not have them and they ship them out. This was fine no biggie and I asked if I could hook it up. They told me yes just call tech support and they will set it up for the 1GB speeds.
June 26th I received the modem and went home to hook it up and called and it was provisioned and working. I called in to cancel my installation scheduled for June 27th since I had it all hooked up to close the order. I started doing some speed tests and noticed I was still only getting 200 plus down. So I called tech support and they said no that I don't have the provisioning and a tech needed to come out. So I was frustrated that I had to wait and called a couple of times to make sure (Yes i have another thread on this). So rescheduled for June 29th.
June 29th the tech comes and checks the signal levels and said everything looks good and he called in and have the 1GB provisioned. Well I was getting about 420MB down and a good 60mb up. He then told me it can take up to an hour to get the full speeds as it will keep going up. Now in my head I didn't believe it but I said okay I'll check later. I checked throughout the day and still the same speeds. So I call in again to tech support and they want to schedule a repair for July 14th. I was really frustrated now because the tech was already here this morning. Then I got to reading my other thread and it appears the tech didn't complete the install right.
So now I have to wait another 2 plus weeks.
