Yesterday, we upgraded our plan from 200 to 500. They said on the phone someone would have to come out here Friday, but I'm fairly certain we don't need a new modem or anything. In fact, after we got off the phone, our modem reset, and we were getting the 500/30 speeds, and it's working perfectly fine. (There also doesn't appear to be any appointments scheduled). But on the other hand, on the mediacom website, it still shows our plan as Internet 200, and a cap of 2000 GBs, despite us getting the 500 speeds. Anyone know what might be the reason for these things? Is it just a matter of waiting? (Personally, I'd really rather avoid having to change any hardware if we absolutely don't need to. I have everything set up and placed in such a way that I'm rather comfortable with)
