Okay, so I made a post a while ago and ended up having a tech come out. The tech replaced my modem but said everything was good and implied it was my router that was causing the issue. The issue is my internet just dies for minutes at a time. It gets a lot worse as it gets later in the night. This never was an issue until I upgraded to the Technicolor 3.1 modem. I'm not looking for a tech to come out again as they'll just blame my router and do a speed test and see I'm getting my advertised speed and leave. Even if I connect my modem directly to my PC and do a tracert I can watch as my hop to the modem times out. Nothing I do makes it any better. I've just been dealing with it as I've been busy with other things but I'd really just like to be able to play some games without getting disconnected because my modem decided it didn't want to send my packets. If possible I'd like to revert to my previous modem I was using, as that didn't present any issues and worked flawlessly for the last 3 years. I broke the rule of if it ain't broke don't fix it, and now I'm paying the price. I just want stable internet and don't want to be told it's my router from someone who's just trying to get to their next appointment. I can't reliably demonstrate the issue either as it's random and the outage time can vary from a couple seconds to minutes. None of the lights on my modem change color, they all stay a stable green.
