I've had Mediacom since June of 2014 (A little over 5 years) at my current address and had Mediacom at my previous address for over 8 years).
My 2 year contract just expired, so my monthly rate just increased. I'm currently paying about $130.00/month for Internet 100/Local Basic TV channels/Phone service.
I Called Mediacom and spoke to someone in the retention department, I was given the following {sarcasm} GREAT RETENTION DEALS!! {sarcasm}:
Internet 100/Phone/Basic TV: 2 year contract; 90.00/mo (1st Year)- $110.00/mo (2nd Year) +Modem rental and Tax
Internet100 /Phone: 2 year contract; $110.00/mo +Modem rental and Tax
Internet 100: 2 year contract, 91.00/mo +Modem rental and Tax

My other option is a local telecommunications company that offers fiber internet (100 down/10 up) for $64.00/month w/ free equipment + Tax w/NO CONTRACT!.
I would like to keep Mediacom but I have to keep the bill below $85.00-90.00. I don't want the hassle of a new install and changing e-mails, ect, but If Mediacom can not offer a better deal, I'll have no choice but to cancel my service.
Thanks.
