Pretty Consistent Upload issues and Customer Service Problems

So for over a month now I've experienced really low upload like like than 1/4 of what we pay for. I've had 3 techs out. The first one talked about getting maintenance to do something. Then after a while of continued issues, I had another tech. He told me the maintenance still wasn't finished after like a week. So waited longer, asked support when this was done and they never would answer me. Took 3 weeks to hear an actual answer regarding it. So whatever supposed maintenance gets done, problems are still happenimg but becoming worse and more frequent. Try to get another tech out, and support decides to start blaming my equipment. So I wire my laptop straight to modem. Still have same issues. So they go on telling me that it's the computer giving me issues. So I go out buy a long ethernet cable so I can run directly to my desktop across the house, still have the same problem. And just for the hell of it, I try 3 different cables, across 2 wired PCs and 1 wired laptop. I try it with my router, with an ethernet switch, and hardwired. STILL same problems. After complaining enough they finally have another tech out. I test things before he gets here and its looking bad. So he gets here tests the speeds, tests the modem and says all is good and there's nothing to be done. I test again while he is there and am still having issues. So then he goes on to blame my setup. Explained to him that I tested everything, but he says there is nothing he can do. At that point I'm fuming, so I just tell him fine and let him leave. So I contact support again and they tell me there are "no addressable problems" after providing picture proof of hardwiring and showing the low upload speeds. Then go on to tell me that the modem showed signal errors AFTER the tech had just told me there were no errors........ No tech has tried to replace the current modem for whatever reason. This whole situation has been a nightmare. And I'm hesitant to go ahead and buy a modem becuase money is tight right now and I don't want to waste $100+ on one and then nothing change. And in the 2 years that I've had mediacom I've had 4 modems provided. All causing issues until I was finally given a brand new one which worked great for nearly a year. So now I'm also hesitant on them switching the modem out and then still having problems and getting stuck with another used one. I'm at a loss, what do I do?
