I'm hoping someone here has had a similar situation and can recommend a method to get my issue resolved quicker.
Yesterday around 10:30am, my internet went down. I noticed a Mediacom bucket up on the pole in the alley behind my house. Figured they were working on something, gave it some time. Around 2pm the truck had been gone for a while, still no internet so I call in. I am told there is an open work order and there is a line that needs to be replaced and it will be complete and back up by the end of the day. Ok, sounds reasonable.
It's now 7pm, still no internet, so I call in again. This time I am told there was signal leak detected on the line that feeds my house and it was disconnected. I am then told I have to have a tech come out to fix this, and the earliest this can happen is the 8th of October.
Couple things here. My internet has been working fine, no issues. They come out and disconnect my line because of a technical problem they detected. Why not just fix the problem then with a single truck roll. Why was I not informed? I had to call in and find out what was happening and then schedule my own appointment. This seems crazy.
So now here I am, supposed to be working from home, with no internet.
Any suggestions on getting this fixed in less than the quoted 12 days?
Thanks!
