I upgraded to the 50/5 internet this morning.
After rebooting my internet I am only able to get 30Mbps down.
I tried this directly connected to the modem with two different PCs and got the same result.
I am recieving a -5.7, so I dont believe that is the issue.
I researched the modem that I have, Cisco DPQ2160, it appears the downstream is capped at 43 Mbps for 256 QAM and 30 Mbps for 64 QAM.
This leads me to believe that I need the modem upgraded. Is this something I can accomplish by just walking into the mediacom office in Cedar Rapids, IA or do I need to call and go through the endless tech support questions to get a tech scheduled to come out?
Thanks,
Jordan
