Recently my cable modem has been dropping connection a lot. It usually happens at night, after 6pm or so. It will drop with sync timing failures, then reconnects anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes later and is fine for a while. Usually it's when I'm watching Netflix.
Today it's happening repeatedly though. Same symptoms, but I can coincide it with fast sustained download speeds. If I let my speeds max out (around ~2MB/s) then the connection will drop after 15-20 seconds and then come back in another 15-20, like usual. Can someone check anything on Mediacom's end? It's fairly windy today, so that might account for it (maybe something is mounted freely on a wall/line outside), but this is too similar to what has been happening for the past few weeks, but is now happening more frequently.
If a tech reads this, let me know what other info you could use. I'm more than willing to help troubleshoot this issue in any way that I'm able. For now I'll post some screens from my cable modem (Motorola Surfboard SB5101U).
