I currently have 100/10 service and am quite happy with it (I get 134/12). Last year I bought a 16x4 cable modem to replace my current 8x4, thinking that it would be a little more stable and would allow for future expansion. Hooked it up, called in and got it provisioned and got 134/0.1. Spent the rest of the day trying various things with the helpdesk, to no avail. Finally, using the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" logic, I put the old 8x4 back in and got back to 134/12. What could be the problem with the 16x4 that doesn't affect the 8x4? There is a line trap on the pole from years back because I only have a data connection (no TV)... could that be it? I pay bills, game, shop... the usual stuff that makes being without Internet so traumatic, which is why I hesitated to keep the 16x4 online and wait for a truck to roll.
My stats are pretty good:

Any suggestions? (Basically just for my peace of mind, since everything is working.)
