[IA] Tech Question

I currently have 100/10 service and am quite happy with it (I get 134/12). Last year I bought a 16x4 cable modem to replace my current 8x4, thinking that it would be a little more stable and would allow for future expansion. Hooked it up, called in and got it provisioned and got 134/0.1. Spent the rest of the day trying various things with the helpdesk, to no avail. Finally, using the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" logic, I put the old 8x4 back in and got back to 134/12. What could be the problem with the 16x4 that doesn't affect the 8x4? There is a line trap on the pole from years back because I only have a data connection (no TV)... could that be it? I pay bills, game, shop... the usual stuff that makes being without Internet so traumatic, which is why I hesitated to keep the 16x4 online and wait for a truck to roll. My stats are pretty good: Downstream Bonded Channels Channel Modulation Frequency Power SNR Correctables Uncorrectables 1 QAM256 213000000 Hz 4.7 dBmV 38.3 dB 271 0 2 QAM256 171000000 Hz 5.5 dBmV 39.8 dB 48 0 3 QAM256 177000000 Hz 5.8 dBmV 39.8 dB 57 0 4 QAM256 189000000 Hz 5.7 dBmV 39.5 dB 15 0 5 QAM256 195000000 Hz 5.6 dBmV 39.4 dB 8 0 6 QAM256 201000000 Hz 5.3 dBmV 39.4 dB 113 0 7 QAM256 207000000 Hz 5.1 dBmV 39.3 dB 54 0 8 QAM256 147000000 Hz 4.6 dBmV 39.9 dB 50 0 Total Correctables Total Uncorrectables 616 0 Upstream Bonded Channels Channel US Channel Type Symbol Rate Frequency Power 1 ATDMA 5120 Ksym/sec 25800000 Hz 46.8 dBmV 2 ATDMA 5120 Ksym/sec 32500000 Hz 47.8 dBmV 3 ATDMA 2560 Ksym/sec 37400000 Hz 47.0 dBmV 4 Unknown 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV Any suggestions? (Basically just for my peace of mind, since everything is working.)
