About 2 or 3 days ago I had a huge spike in signal levels and since then I've had to constantly restart the modem. Now it has gotten to the point that it will operate perfectly fine for two minutes and then go offline. Over the phone, the agent said that when the modem comes online and he can see it, that everything looks normal and fine and that the modem itself shuts off after 2 minutes. But since I am using my own modem, the only advice he could give was to test out another modem. Reading up on the SB8200, many seem to go through a similar issue but I'm no longer capable of exchanging this one and far from just buying a new one. So I did some digging and found this.

It's exactly 2 minutes. Once it changes the DS profile assignment to 1 3 4, it disconnects. I feel like this isn't a problem of my modem, but rather mediacom sending a broken config. If there was a way for me to prevent this from happening, my logic tells me I would have internet. I have not called back since and I'm more so inquiring what is occurring when this happens and if there's anyway to prevent this from happening. I'm aware exchanging it or replacing it would solve all of this but this was not a cheap modem and I don't want to cut my loses when I've only had it for a month.
