These responses are important and they will read every single one. Mediacom has refused to address network issues in Illinois & Iowa from last years wind storm. Mediacom has received BILLIONS in federal subsidies, this is the only way to force them to honor their commitment.

[Cable TV] Is my intermittent 842, 843, 844 sun outages or bad weather?
Since around the time that MediacomChad posted the notice about sun outages I have had channels 842 (DSCHD), 843 (TLCHD), and 844 (APHDP) give that One Moment Please wait Ref Code S0a00 message during the day and at night, and then being available several days later.
Yesterday was bad weather, here in Alabama, and those channels were out all day.
Today is bright and sunny, and they are back. I had planned to call if they were still out, but will post the question here, if my ability to get those channels is weather related. We are past the March 9 for the sun spot outages.

[GA] Modem swap killed Tivo
I was having Internet drops and poor performance so Mediacom sent out a tech. They said there was static on my line and laid a new drop to my house. The tech also swapped our modem. Internet performance improved, but all of the Tivo mini's started getting "No Internet Connection" faults. The DVR now randomly reboots. I have talked to 5 MC techs via chat or text with a few simple requests: Turn off wifi (I have my own), turn on the phone, turn on caller ID, and fix the MoCa connection that worked fine before modem swap.
So far, the phone works. They have swapped modems 3 times without setting any of them up correctly. Motorola worked, swapped to Hitron, now a Technicolor.
I am still seeing the MC SSID so wifi is still enabled. The Tivo is useless. MediacomChad fixed my original modem to work properly with Tivo. Mediacomm Molli keeps telling me there is a "problem with the signal from my modem" and asking me to cycle power. When I get a real person, they don't seem to be able to fix any of my problems. I am on a one week wait for another tech to come out.

[IL] Bandwith Meter Reset
I've noticed, over the last couple of months, that Mediacom has been resetting my bandwidth meter a day or two early.
Today, the meter said I was at 3.4TB with two days to go. A few hours later, it's reset to 31 days and 168Gb of usage.
I had planned on downloading some stuff using my remaining data, but it's now gone.
Happen to anyone else?

[IA] No online support option for billing issues?
I was wanting to talk to mediacom support online about a billing issue but when I tried to get some help (tried Live chatting and DMing their support on social media) they both gave told me to contact call a number.
Is there really no way to ask a couple questions without having to call them? It's a bit frustrating for me.

[MO] Slow internet speeds
I have a CM1100 modem with firmware V2.01.02. My Router is a TPLink Archer A7. I had Gigabit internet installed about 3 weeks ago. I have run many speed tests and haven’t been able to achieve higher than 250mb down and 100 up. I have done speed tests wired to a PC running Windows 10 and still don’t get anywhere near 1000mb. I understand I won’t be getting speeds that high but I feel like it should be higher than 200mb down. I have called Mediacom, they have sent a “corrective action” to my Modem but nothing has changed. What steps should I take to fix this issue?

Anyone in NE Cedar Rapids having any issues with speeds or terrible Downstream power levels? I have been a customer since 1985. I have gig service and have taken my modem outside of the house wiring and right to the cable up to the house to show the terrible speeds to the techs that have been out just to prove it's not my house wiring. (YES I test hard Wired!) Nothing was done, now my speeds have slowed to this: https://www.speedtest.net/result/11213121801 I have not touched or changed anything in my home except to install a NEW Modem Netgear CM 1000 for the gig speeds (I'm suppose to get) which I have seen one time of 850 down 60 up and never again......Lucky to get 120 down and now uploads are 2-15 mbps. After walking around the neighborhood where the sidewalks are behind our homes and where the Mediacom pedestals are located I took photos and saw things that have not been addressed since I reported them since July of last year. Mediacom fix your own equipment and take care of reported things like cables all over the sidewalk and peds totally missing the tops or partially covered and then maybe we can see improvements. It really is upsetting when you are told all this will be taken care of and we want it reported. This is just me walking within 1 block of my area, Many many more issues like this around here.....And YES this was before the Derecho Storm of Aug 10 last year.....NO wonder our service is sucking after still seeing this..... The cable along the sidewalk in one of the photos is cable for pole to pole, it has the wire running down the side of it. Does not seem to be the orange cable that is normally used. It is behind a house along Council Street in my area and was reported LONG ago! 7/20 Sad and it's hard to believe Mediacom cares. How can you when all this is still the same and some of it is worse .

[GA] Ongoing internet outages. 31829
Of about two weeks now the internet goes out multiple times during the day. Sometimes for a few minutes and other times for a few hours. Mediacom acknowledges the outages and says the ETA to restore service is 6.00 CT., but gives no explanation to the cause or time frame for a permanent solution. Since I’m working from home this adverse affects my productivity. Is there someone on the forum with Mediacom who has any information regarding what is going on?

[MN] Upload is completely dead since Friday 4/2....
1gb/60 service here, since Friday the upload has been absolutely horrible or completely unavailable. Speed tests fail on the upload test, say unable to connect most of the time, when it does work it gets around 0.2-0.4mbps, loading web pages takes 2-3 clicks on a link to get the request to send, but the downstream is still fast and working fine, around 600-700mbps most of the day and faster at night. So there appears to be something wrong with the upload in my area. Checked with a few other customers, same story.
Checked modem signal levels, looks good, reset modem, bypassed router, all the usual things. No improvement to upload speed. Thought about swapping from my main SB8200 to my spare, always have a second modem just in case SHTF, but after a few phone calls i found out its across the board here in my town, everyone is dealing with it.
Mediacom doesn't report any outages, says everything is good, it certainly is NOT good. Also took an hour to get into my Modem, a firmware update was done recently without me knowing it and the modem wanted a username and password to login, took a dozen tries with 5 minute waits between failed attempts but finally got it to take the username and password so i could change it to something i know. Still with all the reboots and even a factory reset it did nothing for my speed, and certainly wouldn't help everyone else struggling with it right now here.
Last Thursday i was uploading to my Google Drive and it was fast, so it happened on Friday i am pretty sure, and with the holiday i just now got around to troubleshooting it, but its absolutely horrible and the service is borderline unusable, downstream is working but its a miracle if you can get a request sent to load a page.

[IA] late after noon and evening speeds extremely slow
Anyone else seeing this?
For the last week or so, around 5 up until at least 10pm when i go to bed my internet goes from its nice fast 300Mbps to 40-50Mbps tops
upload is fine, but downloads tank big time.
the mediacom speed test which i have to assume is indeed located here in cedar rapids is pulling proper speeds but any test outside of CR is tanking, and i can see it in browsing speeds, netflix or other nightly things.
Given I work at home, and am still actively working well past 6pm its really hurting my productivity and I cant see anything wrong.
And of course my crazy MB8600 modem wont let me log in to see signals, i must have changed the p/w and dont recall doing it, will have to do a factory reset.

[GA] 3x technicians will not fix internet
I have had 3 different technicians come out to my house to resolve intermittent internet issues. None have resolved the issue. Always returns within an hour of them leaving. Tech 2 and Tech 3 close their tickets instead of escalating it to maintenence like the tell me. Every time I call Mediacom, after the issue returns when the tech leave all they can do is send another tech which the soonest is 1 week out. This can't be normal is it? How do I get reliable service technicians?

Please help! I’m having issues with my download speed on my PS4. I’m currently downloading a game watching it tick up 2 mbps at a time, and it’s very frustrating as I am not very tech savvy, and this issue even prevents me from playing certain games altogether. I have the 100 mbps package, and I know Mediacom is cable, so I’m splitting with two roommates, but come on! I really hope someone can help me with this issue, I’ve been struggling with it for years!

[IN] I have no idea what to do anymore, any advice?
So I have had Mediacom for nearly 3 years and its been almost entirely a negative experience. I have been dealing with upload speed issues for pretty much all of those 3 years. The problems pop up around March and last till around October. I get like a few months each year where I have no issues, and my work requires a consistent good upload speed. Last year after fighting with support over the course of several months, they continued to blame my equipment for the issues. I spent over $400 buying new Cables, Modem, Router, switchs, etc. and nothing fixed my issues. I have 3 PCs 2 of which are wired and the issues affect all of them. I have done LITERALLY everything. We even moved! But unfortunately where we moved to Mediacom is still the only provider I can get. After moving I had 0 issues for about 3 months, and then March rolls back around and BAM like clock work my upload speeds tank again. Support can't find any issues. I had to basically force them to schedule me a tech visit, but not before they decided to ship me a new modem, even after saying several times that the modem I have is practically brand new, but I guess i'll try that when it gets here. So now even after moving Im right back where I was. I thought the Upstream Power levels seemed high, but Support told me that as long as it's not over 53dbmv then they don't have to fix it. And I also had some errors in the event log that I hadn't seen before. Ive done some research on them and I still can't tell if they're anything to be concerned about. But i posted a screenshot of both the Upstream Levels and Event log in this post. I've tested for packet loss, and when it's at its worse I had packet loss around 3% but most of the time packet loss doesn't seem to happen it seems. I've tried every means of talking to support and It just ends up becoming a massive time sink and I can't sit here and spend 5 hours each day troubleshooting with support. Any one got any advice on what steps to take next? I'll try the modem when it gets here, and I guess see if the tech can find anything, Im just really sick and Tired of paying $120 a month for the highest available package and then another $50 on top of that for each tech visit where they come over and do nothing.
